Reiki Training Classes and Schedule

HRB offers certification classes in Reiki I, II, and III ART (Advanced Reiki Training) and Reiki Master/Teacher. We sometimes offer workshops on healing with crystals.

Anyone can learn to practice Reiki for self-healing, to treat others, animals, plants, or the environment. A Reiki Master gives the student an “attunement,” which is a simple ritual to clear the energy pathways of the student to channel the higher frequency Reiki energy. Then the Master teaches Reiki techniques and hand positions, after which it is the responsibility of the student to commit to a path of self-healing and practice to become an effective Reiki healer.

In The Spirit of Healing, Lewis Mehl Madrona states “you have to make your own relationship with the spirit world. When we sit in the chair of the healer, we are not doing very much. Spirit is working through us. We are relatively unimportant in the process. The most important thing we can do as a healer is to get out of the way”.

A 2-day weekend Reiki Certification Training in the Usui/Tibetan tradition. Monthly classes are small and directed in a comfortable environment with a maximum of six students. Materials provided for the class are a manual and certificate from the International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT), and a handout from Healing Reiki Brooklyn. Payment by PayPal or check. If you would like to arrange to stop by in person to pay the deposit with cash before the class, you can meet me and pick up your manual in advance. Reiki III is composed of two parts, which are taught as a 3-day class that includes Advanced Reiki Training (ART) and Reiki Master/Teacher Training. On the first day—ART, you get attuned to the Reiki Master symbol and receive tools and techniques not taught at the beginning levels of Reiki. On the second two days, you learn how to attune others and teach all levels of Reiki. A manual and certificate is provided from The International Center for Reiki Training where I am a professional Master since 2005.

Each month, I open my Park Slope studio for a Reiki Share open to all prior students—a welcoming gathering where everyone gives and receives multiple-hand healing energy in a supportive group setting. If you have not been my student but would like to participate in a share, please contact me to provide your Reiki certification for an invitation.

Reiki Shares are a beautiful opportunity to connect with others, deepen your practice, and experience the collective power of shared intention. It’s an excellent way to be part of a Reiki community and socialize with others who are enthusiastic about Reiki. Whether you’re newly attuned or a seasoned practitioner, all levels are welcome. If you have never experienced multiple-hand Reiki you can expect something really wonderful. Donations gladly accepted.
